There are a few people in my life who deeply impacted where and who I am today. They are not your typical, flashy motivational speakers or mega life coaches. These fine humans work behind the scenes and touch hundreds of lives with their kindness, their compassion and deep understanding of the spirit and the body. Through their journey I too experienced a profound cognizance of the interconnectedness of all beings. Through them, my life has become richer on many levels.
I devised a set of questions to help you understand the intricacies of these amazing humans.
I met Jen when I experienced a deep existential rut. I had a few before, but this one was different. I was utterly completely, undeniably stuck. I was considering antidepressants, quitting my job and moving to the Amazon. I just couldn’t see my purpose or myself from the mental haze. Jen helped me clarify my dream and was instrumental in reconnecting me with myself and brought my many disjointed parts into a working unison. She is a life coach, a spirit guide and one fine human being. Through her answers I am able to learn more and more what we can do as a human race to help each other and to help heal the world we live in.
1.How and when did you know that this is the career path you wanted to walk on?
I come from a large family of psychotherapists. Initially I was disinterested in following in the family footsteps, but a chronic illness changed my life and led me down a path of exploration into different modalities for transformation and healing. Although I got my masters in film directing from American Film Institute and found work doing celebrity styling for Calvin Klein and Burberry, I never lost my passion or desire to help myself and others find greater peace and freedom from physical and emotional ailments. I continued studying the healing arts with different coaches, therapists, healers, shamans and spiritual teachers. As people witnessed my transformation, they started seeking me out for advice and support. I gradually realized how soul-fulfilling it was to assist others on a deeply intuitive level and decided that the best way to fulfill my own passions was to create a career where I could help like minded people do the same.
2.Given that you see many clients/patients/students each day, how do you recharge, what’s your process?
The best way for me to recharge is to exercise, be in nature and meditate. Each of these things help me shake off heavy energies and get back to feeling grounded in my own wellbeing.
3.If you were given a debit card with unlimited funds, what would you do with it?
Pay off my student loan debt, pay off family members' debt, move to a beautiful home in nature built around a large living tree, fund my own creative projects, fund programs in schools that teach mandatory relationship skills and conflict resolution to students, parents and teachers, fund programs that help domestic violence and sexual abuse survivors to heal and thrive, help feed, house and educate the homeless, clean up the oceans and other polluted bodies of water, pay off whale and dolphin hunters so they stop killing these sentient animals, invest in organizations that are helping to stop worldwide animal abuse, invest in safe and renewable energy resources, invest in ethical and humane companies that safely harvest and grow organic food, natural medicines, nutritional supplements and green friendly products, buy large amounts of old forests around the world so I can preserve and protect them.
